THE KENYAN FORMER PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA MEETS SOUTH AFRICA CHIEF OFFICERS TO DISCUSS ELECTION PREPERATIONS.

Former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta recently traveled to South Africa as part of his role leading the African Union’s Election Observation Mission for the upcoming general elections. Kenyatta’s appointment involves overseeing the election process to ensure it meets regional, continental, and international standards for democratic elections. The AU mission will observe the elections from May 21 to June 3, 2024, and will provide impartial reporting and recommendations for future improvements​.

While in South Africa, Kenyatta has been involved in high-level engagements with various stakeholders, including meetings with police and judiciary officials.
