Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan recently visited South Korea for the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit, held from June 4 to 5. This summit focused on themes such as shared growth, sustainability, and solidarity, highlighting South Korea’s commitment to strengthening its partnerships with African nations, including Tanzania.
During her visit, President Samia Suluhu Hassan engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing economic cooperation and development. South Korea and Tanzania have been collaborating on significant infrastructure projects, such as the Standard Gauge Railway and the Tanzanite Bridge, both built with the assistance of South Korean companies.
This visit marks a milestone in the diplomatic relationship between the two countries, fostering deeper ties in areas like trade, investment, technology, and education. The summit also provided a platform to explore new opportunities for cooperation in addressing global challenges, enhancing ICT cooperation, and expanding the blue economy.
