Julius Malema and his Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party have strongly criticized Kenyan President William Ruto for the violent suppression of anti-finance bill protests in Kenya. The EFF condemned the Kenyan police for using live ammunition against unarmed protesters, which resulted in the deaths of several individuals and injuries to many more.
Malema’s party accused President Ruto of exacerbating the situation by deploying the military to handle what they called a “security emergency,” further claiming that Ruto’s actions show a disregard for human rights and the legitimate grievances of the Kenyan people.
Malema also highlighted the discrepancy between Ruto’s pre-election promises and his current actions, accusing him of failing to deliver on his commitments to reduce the cost of living and addressing economic exploitation.
