Samia Suluhu tells foreign envoys to keep off probe on Tanzania’s abductions

This statement followed expressions of concern from international diplomats, including the U.S. and European Union representatives, who called for a thorough investigation into the incidents.President Samia emphasized Tanzania’s sovereignty, reminding the envoys that the country has its own systems and laws to handle such matters, and that Tanzania does not dictate how other nations manage their internal issues.

She referenced international conventions on diplomacy, urging respect for Tanzania’s autonomy. The President also reassured the public that the government is committed to investigating these killings and ensuring justice is served, particularly in the context of upcoming elections.
