Justices Eric Ogola, Anthony Mrima, and Frida Mugambi appointed to hear the petitions filed by DP Rigathi Gachagua by CJ Koome.

Chief Justice Martha Koome has appointed Justices Eric Ogola, Anthony Mrima, and Freda Mugambi to hear the petitions filed by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. This follows a motion of impeachment against Gachagua, which passed in the National Assembly in early October 2024. The motion, which included multiple charges such as corruption and ethnic discrimination, was supported by 281 MPs. The next step in the process is for the Senate to deliberate on the matter.
