Nominated Senator, Karen Nyamu accused on defaulting rent for residence at Graceline villa in Runda, Nairobi amounting to 1.25 million. Auctioneers reportedly visited her home accompanied by police officers in attempt to recover arrears. However, Nyamu has declined the allegations describing them as false and asserting that she is too blessed for such an eviction to happen.

The report indicated that the situation involved a court order granted to her landlord to actione her property. Critics like Boniface Mwangi alleged that Ntamu used her political influence to halt the auction and has frustrated her landlord in the process.
