15 Butere Girls Students Reported Missing After Drama Festival Participation.

Fifteen students from Butere Girls High School have reportedly gone missing under unclear circumstances after they refused to perform in the national drama festivals with no presence of their director Cleophas Malala.

The students were part of the cast performing the play “Echoes of War”, a production written by renowned playwright and politician Cleophas Malala. According to Malala, the students disappeared shortly after they staged out from the stage citing harassment and mistreatment by police officers. He has called for immediate investigations, expressing concern over the safety and whereabouts of the students.
