President William Ruto of Kenya has withdrawn from the Global Peace Leadership Conference, which was scheduled to take place in Nairobi from June 25 to June 27, 2024. This conference, organized by the Global Peace Foundation Kenya and the Inter-Religious Council of Kenya, aims to address issues related to peace, freedom, and sustainable development across the continent.
The event is expected to gather over 500 delegates from 25 countries, including policymakers, government officials, educators, and faith leaders, to discuss ways to enhance peace and cooperation within Africa.
Initially, President Ruto was set to deliver the keynote address, highlighting Kenya’s role in fostering peace and sustainable development.
