National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah recently alleged that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua physically confronted Dennis Itumbi, a prominent digital strategist, during a meeting at a State Lodge. According to Ichung’wah, Gachagua grabbed Itumbi by the collar because he had failed to tweet according to Gachagua’s instructions. This incident, described as a petty and vindictive display of power, has sparked criticism of the Deputy President’s leadership style. Ichung’wah, a vocal critic, claimed that Gachagua uses his position to intimidate and control others, citing further examples of humiliation directed toward political allies who do not conform to his demands.
