Benga musician Princess Jully Alias Lilian Auma Die While Receiving Treatment.

Veteran Luo Benga musician Princess Jully, born Lilian Auma, has passed away. She died on October 12, 2024, while receiving treatment at a hospital in Migori County. Princess Jully had been battling illness for several years. Known for her hit song “Dunia Mbaya,” which raised awareness about HIV/AIDS, she became an influential figure in the Kenyan music scene, especially after taking over her late husband’s band, the Jolly Boys, in the 1990s. Her contributions to Benga music, along with her advocacy for HIV awareness, left a lasting impact on her fans and the industry.
