Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, recently impeached by the Kenyan Senate, has accused President William Ruto of being “vicious” and treating him cruelly. Gachagua defended himself by claiming that the allegations leading to his impeachment were politically motivated and part of a scheme to push him out of office prematurely. He further argued that the charges, which include accusations of wealth accumulation and misconduct, are baseless and targeted. Gachagua believes that his life may be in danger due to the president’s actions against him.
