In the 2024 South African general elections, the African National Congress (ANC) is currently leading with approximately 42.37% of the vote. The Democratic Alliance (DA) follows with about 26.10%, and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have secured around 8.39% of the votes.
This election marks the seventh general election since the end of apartheid, and it comes at a time when the ANC’s dominance has been increasingly challenged.
The total votes cast so far are 1,200,273, with a voter turnout of about 27.78 million registered voters.
