Infotrak poll has named Kenya’s Gen Z’s as the most celebrated heroes in 2024. The survey conducted in late September 2024 recognized the significant contributions of Generation Z to social justice, environmental activities and technological innovations. Around 23% of respondents in the poll highlighted Gen Z’s role in organising a peaceful protest such as opposition to the controversial finance bill act of 2024 and their digital activism which has been instrumental in calling for greater accountability and reforms.

These recognitions positioned them ahead of figures like Raila Odinga who ranked 2ṅd for his long-standing in political leadership and advocacy for social reforms and Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon who came third from her remarkable achievement in Olympics.
